Iron Toddler

Yesterday we watched Iron Man and Dillon wanted to be just like him. Now if I can only figure out how to make him fly.

A Busy Week

Connor has been a very good baby. He hardly ever cries and has been sleeping well during the nights. Once again, Grandma Sharon has been good to us. She has volunteered to sleep next to Connor and bring him to Christina for feedings. This allows for maximum sleep time for Christina.

Dillon always wants to lend a helping hand. He uses his slide as a makeshift ladder.

We had some visitors come up on Monday. The Morgans, Uncle Larry, Grandma Dede and Pops all made the trek to Sonora. Taylor loved showing off her new cousin.

Grandma Sharon with all three of her grandsons. She has had a grandchild born in each calendar year for four straight years. Jennifer will keep up the streak in 2009.

Dillon has benefited from Connor being born. The toys in this picture are just from Uncle Larry. Every one has been very thoughtful with Dillon and even Connor brought Dillon the Finding Nemo movie home with him.

Getting a three, two, and one year old to look up at the same time and prop up a newborn is almost an impossible feat. We gave up on getting them all to smile.

Coming Home

Christina was released from the hospital on Saturday morning. She and Connor are glad to be home.

Connor in his car seat after his car ride home.

Grandma Sharon gave Connor his first bath. He was not very happy during bath time but sure was content once Grandma wrapped him in his towel.

This picture reminds me of Dillon.

Connor's first night in his cradle.

Big yawn!

Pictures

I know I promised to post pictures last night but by the time I got home from the hospital I was too tired. Below are pictures from yesterday and today.

One last profile before we head up to the birthing center. We had to be there by 5:30 a.m., which was early for the both of us.

One of these has an excuse. Can you guess which one? Seriously though, Christina and I were surprised to see Grandma Sharon and Papa had beaten us to the hospital.

Moments before Christina was rolled into the operating room. You can see the nervousness in our eyes.

Grandma Ginni checking out her "perfect" new grandson. At first Dillon was reserved and shy around Connor but once Grandma Ginni held him Dillon decided Connor was alright.

The first picture of all three of the "boys" together. The only one missing is Otis.

Strrrreeeeeeetch!

Papa happy that everyone is doing well.

Today Dillon was ready to hold and kiss Baby Connor. He was also very excited to see Mom again.

Uncle James and Aunt Michelle saw Connor for the first time today. On Monday, Connor will meet his Aunt Jen and Uncle Jon.

"Yeah, that's right, I'm the BIG brother."

My favorite picture.

There is a good chance Christina will be able to come home tomorrow. She was able to walk around this afternoon. She has been a trooper these past nine months and I am very lucky she was willing to go through another pregnancy. I already can't imagine life without Connor and Dillon.

Connor Fate Nixon

Entered the world at 7:53 am, weighing in at 9 pounds and 1 ounce, and measuring 21 inches long. Big brother Dillon was not too sure about Connor at first but has since warmed up to him. Mom is doing well but is still recovering from the surgery. More pictures and story to follow tonight.
