This weekend we got a visit from Granny Barbara, Uncle Jason, and some snow. Thankfully, our visitors arrived before the snow storm.
Dillon was very excited about Granny Barbara and Uncle Jason coming because he knew when they went home he was going with them. (We will pick him up next weekend.) That's right, Christina is going to be separated from Dillon for over FIVE days! They left about an hour ago and, so far, Christina is managing.
In the next five days Dillon will be staying with Papa and Grandma Sharon, Pops and Grandma Dede, and the Morgans. Connor will be enjoying a week of no one sitting on him when Mom and Dad aren't looking, Otis will be able to sleep in peace, and Christina and I will enjoy the stillness of the house.
(Quick tangent: Growing up I always loved going to my grandparent's house for extended stays. In my mind, those visits were about eating junk food, staying up late, watching as much tv as I wanted, and having fun with my grandparents. Basically, it was all about me. Little did I realize, it was more about my parents staying sane by getting a sabbatical from us kids.)
Below are a couple of pictures from this weekend.
Granny Barbara held Connor for the entire weekend. She knows that next weekend she will have to share him with Grandma Sharon, so she did not let go of him.
Uncle Jason played with Dillon out in the snow. They had a good time sledding in our backyard. I was unable to participate because I was (literally) stuck at work.
